Kristyn Watson
Ballet, Tap and Hip-Hop
Kristyn Watson has a great love of dance and has been sharing that love through teaching for over 10 years. She began her training at age four, taking ballet and tap. Over the years, she expanded her training to include jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and belly dancing. However, her true love has always been in both ballet and tap. Kristyn trained under Pam Cambridge, Katherine Page, and Michelle Jenkins, as well as taking masterclasses from world renowned artists such as Savion Glover and cast members from STOMP, among others. Kristyn has enjoyed performing in numerous studio productions, with some of her favorite roles including Simba in The Lion King, the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Tinkerbell and Wendy in two productions of Peter Pan, and Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast. As a member of “To the Pointe” competition team at A Dancer’s Pointe dance studio, Kristyn competed with tap routines on a regional and national level. She was awarded Studio Dancer of the Year in 2007 at Tremaine Dance Conventions and Competition.
Kristyn strongly believes that dance training is also training for life. While students learn how to dance through proper technique, they are also learning about creativity, discipline, dedication, personal achievement, and team work.
We strive to teach dance in a supportive and safe environment. We also specialize in teaching a comprehensive ballet program that promotes technical training and growth.
Our professional, experienced, and qualified teachers foster focus, dedication and love for the art of dance! Join us for our shows at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center!
